Welp, our hen separated for feather picking accidently got access to our showbirds. (The border fell down). Now my rooster is missing all the feathers on his face.

Worst nightmare. Guess I'll be finding someone else to use for showmanship-because he looks like an absolute mess.

This can be so stressful.


Nice weather to be expected. Roughly 76 anyway.

the guy at agway breeds them and he didn't expect any to hatch but mom surprised him this morning with 6. they are white and really cute!!!! feeling much better thanks. i think i'll there about 10:30. It's almost a 2 hr drive .

Ginny, can you ask him where he got the parents from? I'm really looking to own an all grey female someday too...so I'm just curious. ya never know...my will power is not very good when it comes to baby animals....

I've got over an hour to drive there too...but will be shooting for early- like 8 am maybe- arrival.

PS- I MISS my Agway- they tried to sell 2 yrs ago and ended up closing it down- going out of business with no buyer. That really stunk!

So, I threw my back out last night - I have no idea what I did. Now, I have to decide which birds are getting baths at all, since I don't know if I'll be healed enough to wash them. Of course, this has to happen this week!

I just put a post on geese with some ? about her. She is yellow with silver grey markings on her back and on parts of her head. Eggs had a disaster. My Cochin got into a fight with another hen over the nest. She is a real B**** when broody. Well she wanted Phyllis off the nest. Well push came to shove and the eggs fell out of the nest and broke. I said they were gong to be dinner but they just looked at me and said yeah right mom

If anyone needs a sale cage, PM me and you can have mine - I have nothing to sell since I sold my birds at the PA Chickenstock this past weekend
Edited to say - it's the rental cage space that I have available, not a physical cage
