No Chickens On The White House Lawn!

Oh the eldest recently gave a chicken speech at school with his favorite rooster and a dozen eggs for props.

One student asked which egg the rooster laid.

We are in a rural school district so everyone else hooted, but I felt sorry for her. She admited she had never seen a live chicken before. And most of the kids had never seen a spotted (Speckled Sussex) chicken before.

We should have brought the bearded Ameraucana.

That would be a Kodak moment...a tiny banty roo acting like he is 10 foot tall and bullet-proof chasing goverment officials around. Yeah, I see what you mean.

If my kid ever ever comes home saying someone in my class asked me where eggs come from I will go to Washington myself and start throwing chickens over the fence lol jk that would be so funny if I wouldn't get into trouble.
