no eggs

I have 15 quails they hatched 12/25/12 and still no eggs, What's happening?

What type of quail are they? If they are Coturnix, it is common to start laying at 8 weeks old. If you are raising New World quail like Bobs, Gambels, California, etc...they will not be laying til they are 6 months old.

Make sure they are on a high protein diet of 24% to 28% protein. You may need to add heat or light to get them kick started into laying. Most quail are seasonal layers and lay spring thru fall.

Make sure to offer up oyster shell on the side for the layers.
