Nodule on Chicken's back

Please help. I have tried to find info on this subject, but was unsuccessful in finding anything out, except maybe a subcutaneous mite??? It is the only nodule on her, and she messes with it during her grooming. It is located right between where the back feathers and the tail feathers meet. Anyone seen this and know what it is? Thank you for all your help and advice!

It's the oil gland. They use it while preening.
