My Barnebar hen has developed noisy breathing in the last couple of weeks. It sounds like she is breathing through a blocked nose, that sort of noise, but her nostrils are clean and dry.
The noise seems to come from her nostrils not her chest, it is not a wheeze and she is not sneezing.
She has been through a late heavy moult. The feathers are growing back now but are still very stubby. I am giving her some extra protein to help with this and some corn for warmth.
She is eating well and seems well in herself as do her friends.
I have looked at all the respiratory diseases in The Chicken Health Handbook and it doesn't seem to fit any of them.
Any ideas?
