non-broody fowl keepers

Yeah but you get sassy cotton balls afterwards😍
I have hatched geese once like 5 years ago. 3 geese hatched and one single chick. Well, the brooder had to be split in half since that chick was a little rooster and would go attack the geese that were 3 times his size

I really do love the sassy ones :lau

Seriously though why buy a silkie if it isn't for they're brooding abilities. Like what's the point of being a chicken that can't chicken if you won't hatch anything. But to be honest serama are much nicer birds

I bought silkies for them to go broody...a year later and nothing...should of went with seramas those where always broody for me. Broodyness apparenty was bred out of silkie now
Yours are defective. 😋
There's always loads of reports on here about their broody silkies.

Some people actually like the feather duster look. :sick

I get the silky feather thing (I have birds that have it after all) but the complete look is too much. A chicken is amazing if it has two or maximum three "unique" traits in my book, but the silkie has 5 toes, the feathers, the crest, the beard, the skin, the feathered legs, AND the stupidity. There's only one way this could get worse, and that's if someone decides to make Tolbunt silkies😵‍💫🤕😖
