Also, the original 4 eggs my Serama hen was sitting on ended up not being fertile, but the other hens ended up laying more eggs in her nest which I candled and one is developing. So hopefully I can get at least one Serama chick this year. That would be a very bad hatch rate though. Tiny Tim needs to start doing his job better!

He is almost 2 years old I think I got him a year ago in March when he was a teenager. He got very sick with a respiratory infection last summer and still has not 100% recovered yet but is mostly better. Some of the hens are also a little bit larger than him so that could be part of it. I saw him try to mount one of the slightly larger hens but couldn't seem to get on.

Ill sent big old Foghorn over to chase all roosters away and probably step on the hens in the process since they are like smaller than his feetI'll send Big Red to drive both of them away then. And because the hens are tiny and thus unable to be mounted by him he'll return here
