"normal" chickens

I'm thinking of getting chickens, but I don't know which breed to get. I'm probaly going to get the "normal" ones.
Which breed are they?

P.S. They look like the ones off the Happy Egg advert!

Every persons idea of a normal chicken is different. Some people prefer Australorps and others prefer Leghorns... I personally think the classic breed of chicken is a Rhode Island Red. I want nothing more than a RIR rooster in all it's glory on my farmhouse someday....ah...dreams....

I have buffs and games they are good chickens it is just what you are looking for in a chicken.

The Happy Eggs come from a happy chicken thing? Those are Production Reds (hatchery quality Rhode Island Reds) - They're the most common out there besides Sex Links. (also similar and common)

The next most normal breeds are hatchery-type Barred Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, and Black Australorps.
