Tillie Millie Layed her first egg since being egg bound!!! YAY!! normal size and shell too. I was so worried she wouldn't lay again.

Note to self: Sunkist soda will not make silkies babies grow faster or bigger, even when poured directly on there fuzzy heads. This will also not extend your sofa time. I think they like the attention, and the extra bath. Stupid me putting my drink on the lid I was lifting! Facepalm!!!

Hehe...so I was sending DH off to work this morning when....a cat from outside (Tink) decided our house looked warm and inviting and RAN into the house!!

Good thing the door to the house was closed and she only managed to make it into the laundry room. Faced with another door, she turned around and slowly made her way back outside.

I guess it was too cold this morning for her!!

I thought this was cute and would give everyone a giggle this morning!! Have a good day!!

so i was worried to death yesterday - isn't one of our teachers in the fayetteville area?? talk about a nightmare! i'm sure all teachers are feeling it right now. scary scary stuff.

ally - hope your girl makes a friend soon. maybe if you got another polish they could help each other out a bit i know my younger crew sticks together closely from the bigger mean bullies??? did her legs ever clear up?

in fun happy egg news, even with my broody i got 2 eggs yesterday!!!!!!!!!

i have 8 of my very own chicken eggs right now!!! only because i bought some lovely big ol' duck eggs from sumner-byrd so i've been able to stockpile a bit! eggs for breakfast coming up!!!!

Good morning everyone!

It has just been a very busy few days and I haven't even been able to byc much.

Friday night our DD's school had their Fall Spectacular, always busy and we love the silent auctions. This year we came home a gift cert for a prof photo package, a huge basket of goodies themed "snow day" and a back up camera for the car.

Saturday was good, had the first poultry swap at Tractor Supply. All in all not bad for a first and a very cold start to the morning. They will probably have another in the spring and see how it goes.

Meet some nice people, which led to selling more birds Sunday!

Now I have been getting ready for CROSSROADS!!!!

We pull out early Thursday morning and will arrive in Indy that afternoon. I hear there are over 10,200 birds entered and that does not include any in the sale or auction/raffle areas.

Still soo much to do, getting everything pack for me and bird and trying not to forget anything.

Going to be washing her today, should be an experience as she is a B-I-G girl and not had a bath yet.

Then trying to figure out what all the others will go packed in for the ride, so far I have 10 that I will be delivering to others at the show.
