Not a chicken but need help identifying the breed...

I found an orphaned duckling and took it in... But I cant figure out what breed it is... Any ideas? Brown head, black body, white spots and belly. Almost no yellow. Black beak on top yellow on bottom, mostly black legs and feet.

Where did you find it? It doesn't look like a domestic duck and I'd guess it is a native species. If so you should get it to a rehabber ASAP.

Looks like a merganser duckling.... like @annageckos said, I'd get it to a rehabber right away. It's likely illegal for you to keep it.
