Not again 😣

I just don't get it. Why soft shells when you're making sure they have enough calcium?
Plus Dougie had an over a month break a while back just to keep things running smoothly for her :(
Thankfully it's not too often now, I don't even remember the last time Sprightly had troubles, her eggs are pretty good.

Probably because their reproductive system is just not working properly, These people that made up these breeds didn't take this stuff into consideration they just wanted egg machines, Probably thinking they will lay their hearts out for a couple of years then whoever has them will butcher them. Never thinking people would have them as pets.

Which was a mistake on my part, but it does make me hate the egg industry even more
No consideration for their quality of life or the problems they may have :(

Keeping her in tonight for monitoring
She seems fine. But she hasn't laid today so incase she has trouble overnight.... I want her close by.

I have the baby monitor on them so I can wake up a few times and and just check they look okay. I'll check in person once more before I go to bed.
I want to make sure she's okay
Love your care towards them.

Okay I'd love to hear some opinions!
So after my force moult schedule, they gradually went back onto their feed as normal. Things have been up and down but mostly okay since.

We're on day 4 of no eggs. Both girls have taken a 4 day break, and this morning I've noticed them shedding feathers!
Isn't it a bit early for them to go into a moult? I guess we're about to go into August....
Do you think they're moulting/done for winter?

Oh one other thing, the other day we were waiting on their feed to arrive as it got delayed and I ended up having to reorder. We ended up giving them oats for a day. Their feed arrived and they're now on that as usual. But that wouldn't so quickly cause a moult?

I have no idea, but I'd just like to say that I'm glad it's mostly been good:ya
