hi
I have three girls. Two years old. Well fed, lots of roaming space, healthy. Live in New England. Last winter they laid every day. This year hardly any eggs at all. A few tiny ones like Robbins egg size. Still not laying. Maybe one egg a day. Is somehting wrong? Was told to get a rooster.

A rooster won't make a chickens egg laying any better. Are they red stars? Red stars usually really slow down in their second year.

As mentioned two year old hens will slow down egg production. Evaluate the diet and environment, and get your hands on the birds to do a physical. Deworming them may help but don't expect them to lay as they once did. If they free range you might have to go looking for the nest. Good luck!
