It sounds to me like most of your chicks have red sex links as mothers. Do you have a picture of your Delaware? My EE was at POL but didn't lay until 22ish weeks.
They were white with black markings like that one and brown with black markings.
I can't breed anymore Delaware jersey crosses because she now is mating with my silver sebright. The red sex links I think are the only ones mating with my black jersey giant.
Whites are pullets, the other two are cockerels. Does that orpington cross have a single comb? I can't really tell from the picture.
The red sex links both lay a dark brown egg. I had several cream eggs in the bator and very few dark brown ones.It sounds to me like most of your chicks have red sex links as mothers. Do you have a picture of your Delaware?

It looks like he has a pea comb in that picture, which is weird if he's supposed to be a buff orpington x black jersey giant. Pea combs are another dominant trait that neither of those breeds have. Unless you have a buff EE with pink legs I'm not sure how to explain that. Can you tell better on this one? If not I can get better pics tomorrow

It's a buff Orpington mix... It's not from my eggs so no jersey giantIt looks like he has a pea comb in that picture, which is weird if he's supposed to be a buff orpington x black jersey giant. Oh, oops, I thought all those were from your flock. It's a buff Orpington mix... It's not from my eggs so no jersey giant
Makes sense because the EE mix I have came from the same flock.Oh, oops, I thought all those were from your flock.
The buff cockerel does looks like he could be a BO x EE though.
