Hi,

I hatched some chicks in incubator. This is first time I have chickens. I do not know the breed of these chicks. The only thing I know is their dad is a French copper marans according to the guy who sold the hatching eggs to me. I upload some pictures. Boy or girl? They are 3 and half weeks old now.

Here is chick #1:

And chick #2:

Thank you for the help!

Thank you for the help!

Too young to accurately sex, but #1 could be a pullet and #2 is looking like a cockerel.

I started an independent thread asking this, but thought it might be good to specifically ask here as well. Hope that's ok!
16 week old Buff Orpington - pullet or cockerel???
Thanks!

I am a new chicken mom. I didn't here back from previous post. The first picture is the white chicken with black streaks which I was told here part white longhorn (was suppose to be a pure breed, is a male or female. She/he does have skinny legs, and she is almost 3 months old very friendly and not aggressive. The black one I know is a cock, and is very aggressive to everyone. Very friendly to me. the second picture, I am pretty sure is a she. hasn't changed in color or growth on the face, but was told due to coloring could be a male. Not sure why, but is about 7 to 8 weeks old. I was told a e/e but was originally told a American, what ever that means, confused why she has feathers on her legs, so confused possible a mix with a silkie? Sorry to a pest.

Do you happen to know what color the Marans rooster was?

Those are both Easter Eggers. And they both look like pullets for now.

Thank you! I am happy to hear that.
The blue was sold to me as a blue copper maran but it could be an olive egger as the store lady didn't know how to tell the olive eggers apart. Can you educate me on how you know that it is not a BCM? I am very new to this and would like to learn.

Also, do you happen to know what breed this chicken is? It sold to me as a possible Olive egger or orpington, i think, but one of the other experts said it was not an orpington for sure. Thank you.
