7 week old. Labeled as BSL at TSC but I’m feeling they were mislabeled OR others got mixed in. Maybe black Asian.

I also got "BSL" chicks and they look exactly like yours. If you figure out what they are I'd be happy to know haha. But they look like 2 cockerels 1 pullet to me.

I think you have 2 roos, but i could be wrong. I only got 2 "bsl" and one of them is def a roo. The other is questionable. My TSC uses town line hatchery, so I've narrowed it down to jersey giants or australorps as possible breeds.

Do you just call and ask which hatchery they use? I have looked up JG, austrolorps, Black Asians but only the black Asians get the white in the chest/neck area. It’s been driving me insane!

I asked the next time I was in there but you could also call them. I think they're used to getting calls about chickens during chick days

Ha! Yeah! From me - asking what they’ve gotten in! I have to go in tonight for some feed so I’ll ask when I’m there.... and maybe leave with a few more. I already have 30 so what’s 6 more?

I call the 2 around me a couple times a week to see what they have. They're both about an hour drive so it saves me a lot of gas money. When you find out what hatchery they use can you let me know? I'e spent countless hours trying to figure out what these birds are

Yes! That’s no problem at all! I’d really love to find out as well and would love to help. I’m wondering if they could be linked with a different roo than “normal”? And does that make them no longer sex linked? Idk... too much time spent obsessing lol

Lol whatever mix they used definitey didn't work because color wise, mine should have been pullets
