Can you post a picture of yours? Age etc? I’d love to see
I got 7 that I'm pretty suspicious of. I'm really hoping at least one of the seabrights isn't a rooster, because i only got the three, but I'm not too sure! They are all from a straight run bin and are 6.5 weeks old.
#1) Golden Sebright bantam
#2) Golden Sebright bantam
#3) Silver Sebright bantam
#4) Splash Rose Comb bantam
#5) Blue Olde English bantam
#6) Japanese bantam (i know, I'm just hoping against alllllll luck that it's just a very manly looking female! It's the only Japanese that survived and I don't want to have to get rid of it)
#7) Mystery breed, if you know what it is, please tell me! (She has clean legs too btw & I know you're not doing breeds though so if you don't know/don't want to say it's fine!) I'm pretty sure it's a pullet (girl) but I've seen her do the rooster chest bump display so I'm confused!
So what are your thoughts? All roosters? Some heavenly luck that I have at least ONE pullet out of these 7?! Thank you so much for this thread too!
Hello! My wife and I need some help. We got these chicks 3 weeks ago and need help figuring out if they are pullets or cockerels. We think chick 2 is a roo cochin but aren't sure it's just his comb is so big and he has an attitude. 3 we think is a Brahma pullet and the other two are supposed to be wyandottes but we think the lighter colored one was mislabeled. She seems to have the wrong type of comb. If anyone needs more pictures, my wife has plenty... Lol
@kinkachy000. #7 is a pullet, and #3 might be. The rest look like cockerels, though. I'm glad you like it--- it's good fun to run!
@micballin. They look a bit young to be sure, but #1 is the only one that could be a pullet. Rest look like boys to me.
I think they are all pullets but not sure barred rock and others are 3 weeks 2 is 6 weeks 3 had complications in the egg so she started out with a bare back she had no comb but not many feathers either
Chick in question is a Dominique. These pictures are at 7 weeks old.
This one above has more white in the barring than the one below.
This one has more tail feathers, but darker appearance like the females.
Here the chick in question is in the middle on the left, next to a cuckoo marans. The Other Dominique is on the right.
