Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

From left to right the buffs are 13 wks and 9 wks. welsummer is also 9 wks. The 13 wk old is thin. Can feel breast bone but nothing seems wrong with her. She's happy as ever.

Need a buff rooster? I can't have him in my neighborhood. Hope I can rehome him once I'm sure which he is. :/ bought as started pullets from mypetchicken

hang onto them both for a bit. At 9 weeks I would bet cockerel due to comb development at that age because buff orpingtons develop super duper slow. My boys were almost 18 weeks before they had any real comb. Wait until the younger one is 14 to 16 weeks and if it grows saddle and hackle feathers than rehome it

Thanks! Apparently mypetchicken will give me a refund at 16 wks or so if they turn out to be roo's. The welsummer has a red comb too. I cannot believe I ordered two pullets and may have gotten two roosters. They also fly around the yard when I let them out in the afternoons. Stella has never done that. She's content to meander.

She probably is a Large fowl OEG as long as he is a reputable breeder, which it kind of sounds like he is.
