Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Comb is still pale, and I think you'd see some solid dark red wing bow feathers coming in on a cockerel by now. I have never raised up a male Wyandotte, though, so not sure how quickly that comes in. Unless something changes drastically in the next couple of weeks, I think it's a pullet.
Now 10.5 weeks, no solid wing bow feathers or pointed saddle feathers but I'm still thinking male. Any Wyandotte experts out there please?

Hey guys,
Hopefully someone's can give me some kind of idea on these guys. I'm guessing my last posts were too young. Please let me know if they're still too young.

I have my guesses, but as a first time chicken owner, I'd like to have an educated guess at least :p

Five weeks old; the Easter egger is probably actually 6 weeks. Have two bantam Wyandottes, but they're still chick fuzz at 4.5 weeks, so I'll hold off on asking gender for them :)

Polish. Very bossy-almost bully.

Silver Lace Wyandotte. Pretty sure a Roo

SLW - same age, a lot smaller and less feathered

Sicilian Buttercup. Only one sexed prior to purchase (supposed to be pullet)

And the Easter Egger (older than other chicks by a week at least)

Thanks guys!

I don't know much about the Polish & Wyandotte other than both are tricky to sex. The wyandottes get pink early, so I'd look to compare pics to other wyandottes of same age.

Your 2nd "wyandotte" looks like another breed, but female. She looks very similar to my Penciled Rock chicks. In that breed, the males get a solid black chest & the females have a sort of speckled chest when they 1st grow in their feathers. (In pics below a=female & B=male)

The Sicilian Buttercup = pretty pullet

EE = definitely a female

I would love it if you could post more pictures in a week or 2 to see how he looks. These pics were very clear and might be helpful to others.

The size/color of his comb and wattles, and the darker red coming in on his wings and possibly saddle feathers (though he's a little young for them to be obvious).
Thank you! I have a blue Wyandotte that got large wattles relatively quickly, but her comb was much flatter compared to this bird, although similar pink color. She is only my second Wyandotte, so trying to learn the tricks for sexing them. Biggest trick seems to be to wait! :)

Yes I'll keep updating :) This one acted like a thug from about 2 days old (my husband named him malevolence) so I had my suspicions all along.

Yeah, patience definitely pays off, but it can be hard! Lol

Cockerel.
