Crowing
They aren't feathered in like 4 week old chicks should be. Are you absolutely certain of age? They look closer to about 2 weeks at most.

Thank you so much! The second one that you're not sure of (the black) is the one that what I'm pretty sure now was a crow. So it looks like I may have two roosters. So much for the breeder being able to tell.![]()

2/28 hatch date. Bantam frizzled Cochin
No silkie expert, but the first looks like a male to me...not sure on the second.
I have 5 Dominique chicks sexed as pullets. However based on the barring I'm leaning towards cockerel on at least one and hoping another is just a lighter pullet. 3-4 weeks old![]()

The last I'm fairly certain is a cockerel, the second to last is my hopefully lighter pullet (assuming they upload in the correct order on mobile)
Too young, but I do think you're right on the last, at least. Please post pictures in a few more weeks to confirm.![]()
Thanks for the reply, I know they're too young for anything to be certain, but since barred breeds can have some tricks earlier in I figured I'd see what people thought. Will post again when they're more developed. I've got an Ameraucana that's a few days older but definitely too young to tell on that one.
