My main chickie in question. Pretty sure one of my babies attempted a crow this morning. It was a noise I had heard from the before and was loud but still squeaky but not there normal little chirps. They are still young so not sure if you can tell at this age.

We have 6 Sapphire gems, about 6 weeks old. Supposedly they are all pullets, sex linked like the black sex link, but blue. Looking at them Mavis and Buckbeak are definite cockerels but the rest appear to be pullets =)

Not easy to tell from your photos but I can’t see any obvious cockerels =)

I would be surprised if it tried to crow at that age so it was probably just a louder chirp. It looks like a Pullet so far but I recommend coming back in a few weeks with another photo =)

It probably was just a loud awkward chirp. I’m totally new to chickens, even tho I read 24/7 about everything to do with chickens lol. I’ll be keeping an eye on them and checking back in a few weeks.

I have a Sapphire Gem Olive Egger Darumi-chan whose comb is making me really nervous, and he/she is only 5 weeks... Darumi-chan is the light gray in the back. Then I have a darker gray SGOE in the front...

And I also have a Lavender Orpington who was unsexed, but I am pretty sure is a pullet... What do you guys think?

Thank you! She is a sweetie, so I'm glad it looks like she is a girl! Any thoughts about the Sapphire Gem above? Pretty sure I know the sad answer to that one, though...
