November 2021 Hatch-A-Long

Ah, yeah, that would be a tough spot. Maybe remove the eggs one by one to a carton, move the incubator, then place them back in. You may be able to pull off moving the whole thing together, but I don't trust myself with that kind of thing. Haha
I still have egg turner in so that should help stabilize them during transition to new spot...would kitchen table be ok? And I'll just place a box on side that might get drafted from front door area (bout 15 ft away from table)

Yes, that sounds good as long as they're out of the path of sunlight and drafts, that should work. I hatched my first ducks on a table in the kitchen.

Commencing LOCKDOWN!

N hopefully the hatch goes better than I dreamed last night... lololol
Went into check on em and 2 had hatched...forgot bout getting brooder ready so when I came back from doing that more had hatched - only they weren't all chicks! They were ducks and frogs!!! 😃 and I was like "I'll take am ALLLLLLL!!!"

I'd say your chances for a better outcome are pretty good. Ducks would be awesome... frogs, not so much. Lol

I set up my brooding area early, since I don't have eggs yet even, but I wanted to build it before the snow comes, and I would not be able to find all my wood I wanted to use. I have it in a corner of the coop, and will have a lamp eventually, (the hens will not have access to the lamp and it will be chained, nailed. Not my first rodeo.) I will have part of the brooder where the hens can see the chicks through wire.
This is my 2nd rodeo (lol)...I'm in TN...I would imagine we have colder nights n days than u up yonder - question: so u have the eggs in incubator but you r gonna put them on out in coop separated by wire eith your adults?
I ask cause my husband hates my idea for a brooder (so now I'm back to square one figuring out my brooder) and babies should hatch this weekend!
