November Hatch -- Who's going to have late fall babies?

well mine were set in oct but are due to hatch tomorrow and saturday

i have seramas (3) due tomorrow and cochins (5) on sat.

Mine are due to hatch today! I can hear tem peeping and other noises so I've been peeping ( pretty unconvincingly) back to them! I can't wait! Those little silkies are all to precious.

Set seventeen Silkie eggs last Wednesday so should be hatching in a Nov 16-17 time frame.

The Kinder Major candled her eggs last night. Two were clear, one is maybe going to be a blood ring but we're not certain yet, the rest were developing. So far, so good.​

I have three incubators full. I think I am going to become a Chicken Hoarder with age! LOL
The excitment is killing me!

I have a pure bred mix in there of 20 eggs... from auracanas, to sussex, to frizzle to polish.
I have 12 Brahmas eggs in there.

Only 25, with the way buttons hatch for me I'd get like 5

I had to steal eggs away from a broody girl yesterday. I've been gathering eggs daily. I just figured she'd decided to take a rest because I didn't see any eggs in her pen. She usually lays up in the front corner. I glanced around each day and didn't notice any elsewhere. Well, yesterday she was staying in a corner.

She'd apparently HIDDEN HER EGGS by rolling them up UNDER the hay that I gave them for entertainment. Then, they'd fluffed the hay up into a nest.

It was really hard for me to take those away, but she'd have hatched all five and I really do NOT have space for more cages. Heck, I'm still watching for more cages for the ones I have now.

I've never hatched quail before, nor Ducks or Turkeys. I've only ordered day olds..... but i ordered 20 of the quail for my husband, got 25. He gets mad I won't let him eat my chickens, but He can have his "Gourmet Dinning" with the quail. Just stay away from my Poultry!

We found some old bird cages on craigslist for the quail, so housing won't be a problem....I hope.

I figured if I'm very, very lucky I'll get 10 quail chicks, and 7 chicks will make to maturity.

Cross your fingers for me PLEASE I am such a Rookie!

....this brower top hatch is weird though, It's hard to tell how much they actually turn. I am seriously considering going back to my home made incubator and turning myself. At least I kow they were turned completely.
