Hi everybody and fellow chicken keepers.
I live in the UK Liverpool, I got my chicks at 10 days old and thank god they have lived for another 6 weeks in my care. I have no knowledge on raising chickens and have found this web site very useful. So any suggestions most welcome. My little lovelies were donated to me by my granddaughter’s school that had hatched them as a school project. Mine are called Lola, Charlie and Rosie. No idea if they are pullets or cocks so hoping and finger s crossed they are hens as i live in a very built up community area can’t see my neighbours being too happy with a cockerel wake up call.

Welcome to BYC!

Congrats on keeping your birds alive! That seems to be the biggest fear when starting out with chicks. They are so tiny and precious.

If you need any tips and hints on raising your new brood, stop by our learning center here on BYC for lots of good reads on all the aspects of keeping poultry..

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you do have all pullets! But if you have a bird that is questionable and want some feed back on the gender, stop by our What Gender section for some help...

Enjoy your new babies and welcome to our flock!
