That would be nice... buying sheds! Ha! They're not insulated, so we'd still have to do that & add inside walls & I could go on & on & on. Believe me... I've suggested it. John builds a great coop. The silkie coop can be done fairly inexpensively & pretty quick, too. I want to build a hoop house for the meaties, but he says they're not predator proof.

I just want to be able to build something too.

So what else did you bring back?

I'm not telling.

but this 14 total for me. 11 for patty.

Trish's hoop coop seems to have done alright as far as preds are concerned hasn't it? She says it was plenty warm too. I had planned to build two. Your place would be pretty secure wouldn't it. It's all fenced in isn't it? Trish's isn't.

No, our yard is not predator proof apparently.

Seriously?? Whatever, Tim. Thought we were playing nice now. Guess I was wrong.

I thought I was playing.

I told Trish and I know she'll tell you.

Serioulsy? 5 Lavs , 2 buffs, 2 blks and 2 whites and 3 I think are splits. They got grey spots on their heads?

I plan on unloading all my old hatchery girls as soon as the newbies start laying. I've got pullets from Dec. coming up. They should start early May.

If I had someone to show me how to process I'd be all set. If I get sick of waiting enough i may just go out to the coop and start yanking necks! I've got 12 roosters. 10 of which have to go! Now! DO YOU HEAR ME! I SAID NOW!

How come they don't have an emoticon smiley pulling it's hair out?

Are you happy now. I am so tired.

I feel soooo lucky to get them!

We're going to learn how to process... I hope with the first batch of meaties. I've been reading a lot on the Meat Birds section... some good tutorials & great info there. We can always go up to Faith's & get them done, but I think we should learn to do our own. I'd definitely like to taste Delaware. Are you getting rid of the whole flock? I don't want Dels, but they're pretty.

Tim, so glad you enjoyed your visit. It was truly a pleasure meeting you. I had fun talking chickens. There were 5 white orp chicks in your box. Some do have gray spots on them as babies.

Enjoy!

Hey Renee, it's been a long time. You have to visit again sometime. If you're ever down this way, please feel free to stop in and say hello.

Renee - Faith is supposed to call but I can't wait to much longer. I need these guys done now! I don't want to give them away. I've fed them and watered them and now I'm supposed to just give them away? I don't think so! Lock down is tues. for the Alabama crew. The silkies are being silent and that makes me nervous. I'm sure they're planning something. I just know it. You ever watch Fringe?

Jody - thanks for that. Your whites are really nice and when i saw them I was thinking wow. I know folks don't like white birds but maybe thats cuz they're hard to keep clean, but yours are super nice and clean. Everyone is doing ok. A little heat and they are running around, torturing Norma Jean, my DD's cat who is here for a visit while she's in TX. Don't worry the doors shut tight. I'm not sure what she'd do but when she was younger I found her in the brooder taking a nap, while the chicks took theirs. She woke before I could get her picture. Still I don't trust her.

Thanks again and say thanks to your husband. He's a nice guy. IMO
