I got home a little while ago. Got my new babies in the brooder.

Checked the bator & I so far 1 white Ameraucana hatched, 2 Dorkings are half zipped & I have a bunch of pips!

Hello, New Yorkers! I am Sal from the Buffalo area. I was going through this thread but at 248 pages, it was hard to keep going! I live just south-east of Buffalo in Orchard Park. Anybody close to me???

Ok first anyone who's new Welcome to the madness.

Saw something about a dorkings and dominiques. Tgrlily hope your taking good care of my girl.

I'm tired and hungry from my trip to PA. Jody's birds are as nice in person as they are on-line. She and her husband are real nice and I had a great visit. bought some maple syrup along with the chicks, and bought more chicks than I ordered. No you can't have any. Bought some whites. They were out in the yard and OMG they were beautiful. So I had to have some. Her buffs OMG, you could put a saddle on the rooster and ride him around the yard. She has some nice aruacanas but I'm not into the trouble they are to breed and all that. Maybe next year.

Her farm was to die for. Really nice. I couldn't take care of all those coops and watering and I'd be dead in a week! Very clean and nice. Her husband was nice and helps alot I'm sure. Me I'm lucky if DW will close them up at night. Though she did collect eggs today which is new. So maybe there's hope.

Jody and Charlie are wonderful! I almost emailed her to see what you could pick up for me, but decided against it. I love their farm, too! If you had seen their Lav Roo, Lester you would have flipped... He was the biggest rooster I've ever seen!

I got something I've been dying for instead! Poor John has to build another Silkie coop... or three this summer.

That would be nice... buying sheds! Ha! They're not insulated, so we'd still have to do that & add inside walls & I could go on & on & on. Believe me... I've suggested it. John builds a great coop. The silkie coop can be done fairly inexpensively & pretty quick, too. I want to build a hoop house for the meaties, but he says they're not predator proof.

I just want to be able to build something too.

Trish's hoop coop seems to have done alright as far as preds are concerned hasn't it? She says it was plenty warm too. I had planned to build two. Your place would be pretty secure wouldn't it. It's all fenced in isn't it? Trish's isn't.
