NY chicken lover!!!!

You know- I try to keep up with this thread but it seems almost impossible.

SO has anybody seen or heard of anybody seeing 2 lost dogs? A 12 year old yellow lab (Yeller) and a 4 month old chocolate lab (Ivan). Both boys. They ran off on Thursday and haven't been seen since. If anybody heres of them can you let me know.

And Max seems to always be in the way no matter what your doing-
sorry to hear about dogs missing. As for the chicken train it to sit at the other end and you would have a nice moving target.

Well 2 black chicks and 3 yellow so far. I have an egg eater already though one of the chicks tried helping another chick out pecking where the other was pecking to get out. I have to move the yellows out of the bator soon 2 of them desided to sit on the last black one as it was trying to get out of the shell. I had to open and move them little buggers.

I'm sorry I missed you both. I was at the "Grange" which apparently is NOT near the OX roast, but I was there. Also today since it was the queens third too. I was very tired but I was there.

I'm still tired. Much to do and not enough time.
I'm sorry that I didn't let you know about the other building. The Grange Ox Roast building is on the corner near the coliseum. They cook roast beef sandwiches (YUM!) The other building has the Fair museum and some displays about the Grange and a few vendors. (They don't sell food). If you make it back next weekend I'll be back cooking. I cook the pancakes and french toast .

What a Cutie he is ! It was nice to meet you too ...It is funny that we had more in common than just chickens ...That I knew your grandfather also ..
I hope it wasnt too embarrassing to be called chicken lady ..
I've worked there for years as a teen, and most of the people there have known me since I ws a little kids. They have done MUCH worse then call me a chicken lady. That was nothing...and I kinda liked it!

I don't have the dates off hand but there is a sanctioned chicken show in October up by you all. I will have to search the poultry press and see what the dates are. I know here was one at the state fairgrounds but think that date has passed. I believe the other is in October in bath

Pyxis, am thinking of your complicated situation, and wonder if a camera mounted to cover the coops etc would be a good investment. The police may choose to ignore laxness in dog restraint, but trespass, theft, criminal mischief, animal cruelty...etc they could not ignore.

Gramma, Coda is a neutered male, and has gone home to my son, Bella is a neutered female who is not likely to play with coyotes. She would sometimes refuse to continue on a trail in the woods, and urgently require me to follow her home. I trust her in these situations. Am making the call to a friend who hae offered to help me obtain and learn to safely maintain and use a gulp, gun. Today.

it sounds like she is already aware of their presence ...That is good ...
The coyotes didnt know the male was neutered ...Im sure just knew a new male was there .
It is a big step ..I would have never dreamed of picking up a gun ...either ...until the fox starting getting our chickens

This sounds like a good idea. I could probably get a game cam or something. Plus that way, if I ever had issues with another neighbor's dogs, I'd have proof. Thanks!
