wish had more of you around here nnot to many close place across St for sale would like to be able to swap and stuff like that
If anyone near Saratoga might be looking for some older hens that are still laying well send me a PM. They are pushing two years old but are not production/hatchery birds. To a good home that also won't eat them, please.
The one group I am considering rehoming has three of annie's australorps, five EE's and one mutt (leghorn X BO). Very friendly ladies, probably because they have never had a rooster beating them up.
Would prefer they go in a group. Just thought I would throw that out there before I go through the fun of moving them into the big coop and dealing with the pecking order problems.
I guess everyone wanted the cute fuzzy ducks in the other tub, not these older ones. ;PI haven't seen any this year yet but I still have snow out there I usually always see them though so I am sure they will be backThe bluebirds are still negotiating about the houses. It's lovely to see them swooping around with their beautiful blueness. Can you tell I have never had bluebirds in my yard before?

Went to the TSC in Saratoga today - left disappointed because they were cleaning the floors and didn't have what I needed (kitty litter!), but if anyone is in need of some ducks you might get a good deal there - they have one tub full of ducks that are HUGE - those poor duckies have to be several weeks old, if not older. I'm not a duck person and I didn't see a sign, but they were yellow.I guess everyone wanted the cute fuzzy ducks in the other tub, not these older ones. ;P
Curious what happens if no one buys them - do they just keep marking them down until someone takes them? Never saw such big 'chicks' in a TSC before so I guess it was too cold for anyone to want the poor things. I don't do ducks, so I wasn't tempted - but hopefully someone else will be!Awww if I was closer I would go scoop them ducks up I love my little duckies

I do know they do mark them down but from there I don't know I do know I am going to stop to my TS on Monday to see if they got anymore anything in I went last week and the tubs were all emptyCurious what happens if no one buys them - do they just keep marking them down until someone takes them? They had quite a few chicks at Saratoga TSC. I'm hoping to do just one hatch this year so didn't buy any. If I can find local eggs, that is.I do know they do mark them down but from there I don't know I do know I am going to stop to my TS on Monday to see if they got anymore anything in I went last week and the tubs were all empty
(don't want to deal with shipped eggs again).
I have two broodies already, but they are in a bad coop for brooding so no eggs.
