NY chicken lover!!!!

Don't remember if I posted this or not, so ....looks like I will have quite a few Cayuga duckings at the chickenstock. If anyone wants any, please pm me before. I'm trying to keep down the number of animals I need to bring to just what people want. Oh the other hand, who can resist the cute, isny weensy black duckies?

Honestly, they aren't as bad as I thought they would be as far as the mess. My whole yard is a mess, so what's another big puddle or 2?

And really, duck eggs are so good for baking...

At one point he had a silkie on back of the seat perched up there. The minute he was done they all came swooping in looking for their feast.

Featherz sorry about the naked neck. I have only one broody right now and it is one of my silkies.

He was out there one handed steering as he can't move his left arm said that's ok I am a lefty anyways.

Yes he is stubborn but so is his wife I am the same person that had shoulder replacement and left the hospital and went out to eat pizza and after the gastric bypass on Jan 16 I went back to work on Jan 22.

I meant no offense. She just makes me worry. I have nightmares. Where will I be without her ? I wish she took better care of herself in seeing the doc.

No offense taken at all and as stubborn as I am I do worry about him and his stubbornness. I do have to say though he at least has gotten better was 280 pounds , diabetic, and high BP and now is 150lbs. BP is a little on the low side and his blood sugars are low. Now me on the other hand has the bad habit of brushing everything off it is the nurse in me we make terrible patients and never want to go to a doctor.

I have a whole coop of broodies!! All county boy's cochins.. One of them keeps getting off the eggs and getting into the wrong box. Grr.

Had a hawk take out one of my naked necks today. Grr!! I got out there about 10 seconds too late - she was already dead. Not enough vegetation in the yard yet, although most of them ran into the coop like they should. I really need to get more NN eggs - I am down to just a few as it seems the preds get them first. :(

Best broodies you'll ever find. Lol. Mine are all laying right now though once again.

Morning all!  Boys are saying its a nice day out.  The hoodlums downstairs are busy destroying their brooder again.  My little silkie babies are doing well and are quiet next to the hoodlums.  Their new mommy is coming tomorrow to get them.  I am very pleased with this batch.  I have to candle whats under the girls out in the coop.  Time to break the girl who is going to her new home at chickenstock time as well.  She is a stubborn one.  The brats out in the coop were happy to see me this morning.  Even the boys let me pick them up and pet them a bit.  This is definately another year of the boys.  Anybody need a roo?  I happen to have a few.  Mutt roos and rir roos.  I have some mutt girls as well.  Bill will be going to the crock pot hot tub soon.  He has been challenging me more lately and getting on dhs nerves.  He has served his purpose and I have his replacements growing out next door.  Im sure I wont get any complaints from the girls if he isnt around any more.

Stuffed--my staff meetings with the cheeps last only as long as the  "coffee and pastries" hold out.  Kinda like it is at work.

Lap--having a couples night at dinner huh?  I hope they "dress" for the occasion!

Off to the pharm for more mayhem and chaos.  They showed up yesterday and all attempts to remove them were rebuffed.  Hopefully today we can make them leave.  Have a good day everyone.

Don't try too hard I want a broody lol;)

I just got back from the ER with my husband who I must say luck was on his side this morning. He went to work and slipped on oil, falling through a sheet of plate glass that was there to replace a window that was cracked, smacked his head on the concrete floor and blacked out, plus while falling backwards he grabbed a shelving unit that was full of metal pipes and pulled it down on himself. He ended up with a minor concussion, a separated shoulder, cracked rib and some cuts. He is lucky that he didn't get hurt worst. But got to love the stubborn man he came home and is out there now on the tractor tilling my garden up again.

I wish him a speedy recovery

This is what my incubator looks like tonight. I blame Metella. Somehow I also need to add nine duck eggs tomorrow. Wish me luck.

And here are three of my girls enjoying the sun on the deck steps, where they are not supposed to be:
