NY chicken lover!!!!

Thanks ....I wear my phone most of the time ...looking for opportunities .
Saw a skunk last night in my back yard about dark ....it must have saw me coz when I looked for it a few min later it was gone

Lol! How close to a skunk did you want to get?
I was hoping to get a vid of that turtle laying its eggs, it was just hanging out so I went back inside. Caught it digging on the end of the tater row from my kitchen window so I ran back out with the phone set on video, it was GONE! Not a trace of it, wow! Gone! Turtles can be speedy when they want to lol!

Morning all. Had a tasty treat this morning. Found 3 ripe blackberries on my plants when I stopped to inspect them. Of course I had to eat them! Tasty! Need sun today to dry outthings. Eowyn got 2 out of 3 chicks up the ramp last night. I went to help the third one and of course it's running away chirping. Jumps out of the run and is racing around the coop trying to get to mom, who is bawking inside the coop. I finally caught it by my flower pot. I placed it on the ramp to the coop and encouraged it up. Tiny silkie chicks are amazingly fast. Looked in the coop and all the adults are carefully stepping around the babies, who are eating and drinking. Legoland is waiting in the corner patiently to eat and drink. He is a good dad, always watching out for the tots.

The buck and doe are here this am eating on my front lawn. He was looking at my silkis, splash anD little big man, trying to figure out what they are. I let them out this am to freerange.

Gramma...great video of the fawn having fun on your lawn. I think your chickens were going to have a heart attack over it. I loved how they piled out of the woods when it went in there.

Baking today and finishing another baby blanket. Busy, busy.

We loved the fawn vid. very cool. I also like your clothes line. I have a T pole but not set up. Found it in the woods.

I will set it up though. I need another but not sure where to buy one, now that I think of it.

I haven't seen bunnies at evening of late but did see a Hawk nearby. I'm out there cutting grass and weed whacking so I don't think it will present a prob as yet.

Agains thank for the video.

ta, ta for now.

Your welcome everyone ...for the video

It was probably done & covering it up . I would mark that spot ...and check it out daily around the week of aug 9 th when they are due to hatch

Loved that fawn vid!!!!

I agree @Pyxis I think is was a rough shipping if we both lost one.

Spotty internet here because of the rain and line work..

One of my ducks disappeared Monday in broad daylight. No alerts from the other birds. She is heavily imprinted and homed to the house. No sign of her anywhere. I wandered around in the rain and mud looking for her for the next day. Last night the geese give a predator alert. In the search for an unseen predator, I find my duck in her usual spot she homes to when out of the back 40 and waiting to come in. Despite all the rain and mud, she was spotless. No signs of foraging - and very thirsty. The geese would not alert to her... She has a super loud call - and we would have heard her if she had been anywhere near the property... Her disappearance was decidedly dubious, but I am glad to have her back!
