NY chicken lover!!!!

I am just outside of Watkins Glen, up towards Reading Center. Well, if you want a silkie roo, I have 4! My one, single, poor, little hen is NOT enjoying it either. I really need to get her away from so many of them! They were hatched here over the fourth of July weekend, so he is just 6 months old.

These pictures aren't the best, but they are the best that I have available right now.

I should say that I have 4, but I am having a hard time deciding which to get rid of, as I think they are all adorable! lol I have chosen this one, as there are two grays and two black roosters, and this is my lessor favorite of the two gray ones. I have yet to make a choice with the black roosters!

Okay, if anyone knows where I can get my hands on some ducklings, preferably Indian Runners, I would greatly appreciate it. For some reason, I just cleaned all but two of the eggs out of my incubator and I don't think that the two that I left are going to be fruitful. It stinks, as they were one of my 9yo's Christmas gifts. Any help would be appreciated.

UGH! When i left for work this a.m. it was -12 and the heat lamps were all off in the coop! Needless to say I had no time to run out there and fix the issue so I called DH once I was on the road and he solved the problem, a breaker switch flipped off, and the freezer on the basement was on the same circuit so I guess it's a good thing I noticed this a.m.! I fully expected some fatalities today from the cold, but so far no issues.. fingers crossed it warms up soon! How about you?

Its about 16 degrees here right now. Warmer than it was last night, which was about 6 degrees. I hope it warms up soon! Ive been keeping our chickens and ducks in thier coops for the most part. I let them out for a short period when the suns out, but they dont usually want to go out with the snow anyway.

Hello fellow NY'ers! I am living near Canandaigua, NY. I just joined...here is my intro thread:

https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=284135&p=1

I would love to be involved in an exchange. I am rooster-heavy at this point. I am loathe to eat these fellows as they are beautiful boys who have been shown. The woman who gave them to me would be heartroken if they were eaten. I am interested in hens...do people trade hens for roosters?

YAY! My turn hello everyone from the northern region. I'm in Heuvelton NY North of Watertown NY. Northern NY Poultry Fanciers does a show every year too with a swap/tailgate. I'll have to let everyone know when it is! I'm willing to drive for mixed orders/swaps so keep me in the loop!!! My kids include a partridge chantecler hen, 2 barred rock hens, an EE rooster, 2 mille fleur roos a mille fleur hen and a porcelain d'uccle roo. I want more standard breeds I'm jonesing for Wyndottes, Favorelles, an EE hen and a Polish. I need more hens. I need more chickens... must feed the addiction...
