"A few" she says. That's what I thought last year and ended up hatching too many. Anyone interested in a Bourbon Red trio?

For all you frozen people out there with little girls that love 'Frozen'. I played this one for my girls yesterday, they flipped over it......absolutely hated it!!! Lol!

Well I don't care I hate the cold.

Chickens don't mind to much. Laid eggs so that's good.

got and email for hatching eggs. Only wanted to pay $5 a dzoen. Said her birds were misfits and not special. She just kept them for the eggs. I wanted $1 an egg for Marsh Daisy eggs. Was I wrong?

Am I the only one who cares what breed their chickens are? Where are all the crazy chicken people like me who dote on their birds? All my birds are special. They get the same care as any other bird in my coop. What does it mean when someone says their birds are not special?

I mean we hear of crazy cat ladies, but do we think they're crazy because of the care they give their cats? Or just because they have so many?

Personally I think as long as your chickens are properly cared for you should have as many as you want. I'd say the same thing about cats but I hate sifting litter.

Except of course for Silkies which aren't real chickens anyway. Dust bunnies gone wild if you ask me.

Anyhow if someone cheaps out on the chickens they keep makes me wonder what other areas they're cheaping out in. Maybe housing, bedding, feed? etc. etc. Well she didn't want eggs from me which is just as well.

Have a guy coming tomorrow for a free Delaware rooster to cover his mutt hens. I figure he must care enough to see the girls have a rooster. Unless you can't have a rooster, then it's okay.

OH, a lady came and bought two pullets and she live IN the city. She lives right near some friends of ours in the city proper. I always knew there were people in the city that had chickens, just never met one willing to admit it. She was a nice lady so I figure the girls will be okay. I think a coon got her hen. There are more skunks and coons in the city than outside. More garbage to feast on. Lots of Templetons too. Get it?

Thanks for the video "it's cold". That made me smile. I swear I'm going blind, so I increase the font size.

There's a Marsh Daisy in this lot as well as a barred EE. The others look to be C. Rocks. Are you coming to get them? Free with your BYC membership card. ( Not the Daisy, someone wants it) We should have a BYC membership card. I was a member of the Felix the Cat club. Why don't we have a Back Yard Chicken club. With a special card and all that kind of thing. Maybe a Plastic Chicken decoder ring and badge. Do they have BYC hats? We should have hats and shirts and scarves and all that for of stuff. A nice Membership package thingy.

Oh and BYC bubblegum cards!! That we could collect of all the chicken breeds. Except for Silkies, they're not real chickens so they don't count.

TTFN,

Rancher, you call me crazy like it's a bad thing, Hicks.
