I started collection for myself right after your eggs. I have the same...about 50% and all the same egg shape/color that are fertilized and came to the same conclusion. Either roo only likes one hen or only one hen lets the roo breed. there is no accounting for taste!1 Any ideas with getting my other hen(s) more attractive? good luck! ginny
Yes, actually I do have one....some hen's hinny feathers are too fluffy for the roo to get close enough for the transfer of sperm. If your hen has a fluffy hinny, trim the feathers shorter so the roo has a better chance at hitting the vent when he releases his sperm.
