So glad your daughter's doing well. As well as to be expected anyway! Children are so strong.
I remember someone mentioning VetRX before. Don't know who. OK, I SWEAR by this stuff now. I have a hen (1 yr old production hen) who was fine 2 days ago. I noticed she kind of sneezed a few times. I figured something got in her nostril. Last night when I counted the flock, I was missing her. I finally found her huddled in a corner on the floor of the second half of the coop. She just stood there with her eyes half closed, GASPING for air. I let her be, figuring let nature take it's course. I didn't think she'd make the night through. This morning she was in a nest box, eyes closed, still gasping for air with every breath. I went to TSC to pick up some kind of antibiotic, or something that would help her. Was very confused on what to get and was about to leave. I spotted this VetRx, and the bottle said it helps respiratory ailments. Got it home and warmed it like it said. I went out and rubbed some in her comb, wattle, a little in her mouth and around her nostrils. 2 minutes later, she was sitting with her mouth closed (normally), looking at me like, "What???". Several droplets of fluid came out of her nostrils. She did start to gasp a bit again, but not nearly as bad as before. She actually got off the roost and drank some water. I'll dose her again once or twice today, but I have to say, I am AMAZED with this stuff!
Keep your fingers crossed she continues!
