Quote: I got my veggies in the earliest ever- the beginning of May. But the the month of torrential rains after put most of them under water......they finally dried out the beginning of July. I lost some zucchini plants and the rest of the vine plants are slwly starting to grow and get blooms. My tomatoes are far behind in growth from last year. I have 3 plants that are 3 inches tall dead on the top with one large tomato on each. The other tomatoes just started growing in height the last couple weeks. My peppers are all 2 or 3 inches tall that did have fruit the size of quarter that of course rotted
Bad year for peppers. The only things that did well were the pumpkins I didn't plant, potatoes and the sunflowers. I am hopeful to get a few cukes, watermelons and a zuke or 2. Peas, snake gourds and other sunflowers didn't grow at all. My kale, turnip greens & beet greens & swiss chard did really well though and I started them with seed. I am on my 3rd cutting already on them.
Rancher I have hundreds of them from when they reseed themselves & I dont do a thing to the garden (not even water it) They are next to the shed, I just transplanted some oday to put in the hens forage area so they will have natural shade. I could make a hedgerow with them with all the seedlings
