I took my car in because since soon after changing over to snow tires there has been an insistent message to check tires. After many checks I got an emergency appointment this morning. After checking me in, the service guy says, Did you push the reset button? You can imagine my blank look. After driving at least 25 miles each way in this weather, blowing off my gym workout, and almost giving up a hair appointment, it was just a reset button!!!!grrrrr.

If the structure is built strong, I would leave the snow, it is a great insulator.

Our snow must be part of a new math problem. Yesterday after snowing for days, the snow mwtwe read 10 inches at dusk. It snowed overnight, and at 8am DH said "we almost have 10 inches." after snowing all morning, at 12:30, the meter read 6 and a half inches. It is mystery to me.

Where is this "reset" button.

I know about the oil reset but DW's car has aways got the light going on . No one has mentioned a "reset" button. We just had the snows put on too. She has a 2009 Cobalt.

My "reset" button is labeled "RESET". (Caps their's not mine) With a combination of "reset" and "info" button I can turn off anything on my dash board that lights up. (Some lights should be reset by mechanic tho, cuz there is a problem that needs to be taken care of, not just hitting a button)

The snow probably settled. I don't seem to have as much today as I did yesterday but I know we had a bunch of it. Hopefully we'll be heading up north this weekend to put a couple hundred miles on the sleds.

Evening all. Just finished shoveling again all the snow we got all day. Cheeps never stepped foot out of the coop. Only 4 eggs again today. Hope this breaks soon. It was a productive day. DD helped me finish cutting up the hind quarter of the doe. I have some nice meat in the freezer, canned 5 quarts of venison stew meat and have a bag of jerky seasoning in the fridge that will go in the dehydrator tomorrow. Wrapped up gifts and got them under the tree, planned out christmas dinner and dd has a list of cookies she wants to make. Life is good. Cooked up a bunch of scrap venison for the cheeps and got that put away. Almost forgot, I made bread too (well, just threw everything in the machine and hit the button).

Oh...the ups man made it and I got my new muck boots! I love them! They are the jobber ones that come up around your ankles and I wore them out to go shovel. So warm and comfy. They fit nice around my fat ankles too. Guess I wont be needing any more boots! Love love love them!

Tab--I will have to mark that date on my calendar and make sure I have off. Its a 3 hour trip for me to rome but I am hoping to make it.

Rancher--the reset button is usually one you have to push after your tires have been rotated, filled with air or new tires put on. Mine is inside the glove box so I have to open it to hit the button to reset the tire light.

Finally I know what you look like Aria!

Okay...back to finishing my last gift. I have to stop coming up with these last minute ideas. Im killing me!

Wondering? We have a covered run and the coop. We do not let the chickens
out Winter. What are they able to do in the snow? Just walk around? We have dirt and stones in our covered run and they can dig etc. And we worry about predetors..we lost
many of our Silkies to them. Guess we are over protective.

I'm pretty protective of mine too. This is my first year. The coop is raised up so they have room under there to scratch around. I try to keep the run shoveled down to the ground, but I am losing that battle. They spend most of their time in my duck hut. I do have an area on the other side of the coop where I put down leaves, straw, and pine needles with a little scratch mixed in. It seems that once it started snowing it hasn't stopped. They don't like to be out when it is snowing that much. I'm going to try something a litle diffrent next year, but for now I work with what I have. I'm learning as I go. I try to give them things to do. I go out 3-4 times a day to chcsk on them As for preditors...We are low on them around here it seems. The dog run and the chicken run share a common fence. Most things stay away. We do have a family of foxes that showed up this spring, but they have stayed up in our upper feild. I haven't seen any hawks, just lots of crows. And I have never seen a raccon, possum, or skunk around here for the 7 years that we have lived here. Now I'm sure they are around, but I think with the run being attached to the house and next to the dogs it seems to keep them at bay
