Glad to hear uv had a good experience w the poultry hatchery. Hopefully they've made an effort to improve their customer service. Or maybe they were just having a bad day when I delt w them. I agree finding a breeder is the best option. Better for the birds too. Yay for chicken stock!![]()

4301 Ridge Road PO BOX 128 Seneca Falls , New York 13148 (315) 257-9100 Website That is where I got my first chickens. My experience was very good. I got EE, dark and light Brahamas, Amber links, and Australorps from them. The only negative was the extra fees they tack on to the order that they say are universal with the industry. Now that I have more experience I would not buy from a hatchery unless I could not find what I was looking for elsewhere. If you want specific breeds it is best to buy from an individual that is specific for that breed. You will get much better quality birds. If you want production birds that will give you lots of brown or white eggs you can find them in the spring at tractor supply or Runnings. If you can make it to chickenstock you will be able to fill your coop with some wonderful local birds that will lay a rainbow of colors.
