It was on a piece of tinfoil ...he moved it to the ground to follow the sun ...
He comes out to check it ...MOMMMMMM  ! Im mad at you !
you let the chickens out & they ate my hamburg ! I laughed & laughed and laughed 
we had fun with fake sparring for about a 1/2 hour

They really are little dinosaurs! Mine go nuts for any kind of meat. Even chicken! Last year they enjoyed a feast of leftover deli meat from my grandfather's memorial service. Boy did they go crazy fighting over it.

Yes, the are Marans. I think the rooster is a cross, I'm not that good at the genetics yet.

He is very nice....I really like him already. My previous Cuckoo Maran's main focus in life was tracking me down and attacking which I could have lived with but he wasn't any kinder with the hens.

I know! And since I got 12 hatching eggs too I'm sure more roos that I don't really need are in my future

I have 1 of 38 eggs hatched, still getting fluffy, and a few more mid hatch. I can't imagine doing this again, but I have been feeling under the weather too. I don't know.
