I agree ..Fight it ....just because there is a complaint ...Doesnt mean it is true .
if your chickens where drawing flies ...you would have the flies not them
Are you allowed to have chickens where you are ?

Well we are going to appeal...my husband is a lawyer so that should help some!! We are allowed to have chickens. We talked to our neighbors about getting chickens and they didn't say anything against it. However, the one neighbors moved out and their son moved in. The son is the one complaining. I've had the chickens for 4 months now. Spend a lot of time and effort to build them a nice coop to live in too!

I have an issue... how do you choose which birds need/have to go? I have 3 Roos, I'm not suppose to have any. I have Chicsee, a fine young EE seems to be a good flock master, a little rough on the ladies but I think he will be better with time. He is the first to run towards perceived danger be it a squirrel, a raven or a cat. He calls everyone to him and flies claws first at the danger.
Then there is my personal favorite, Miso... he was sold to me as a Marans pullet, he is neither, just a BYM but a pretty boy, none the less, he is white with black barring. He is second to Chicsee, certainly not docile but less aggressive and kinder to the ladies and the most easy to calm when being handled.
Then there's Lyle a complete spazz!!! However he is going to be a beautiful cock. He looks like a MaransxLegbar cross. He is silver/blue right now but he is getting burnt sienna on he head, neck, shoulders and saddle. I think he's going to be awesome...
I don't even know where or how to begin...

My choice is always about behavior before looks. I have a BYM roo that is 4 months old. He is quiet, a good forager, and overall a really nice roo. He's handsome, but not a show bird handsome. We processed the meanest roosters. I am planning to grow out one of my pure breed roos to lead the flock to limit inbreeding (I think my roo might be my ladies' brother).

My choice is always about behavior before looks. I have a BYM roo that is 4 months old. He is quiet, a good forager, and overall a really nice roo. He's handsome, but not a show bird handsome. We processed the meanest roosters. I am planning to grow out one of my pure breed roos to lead the flock to limit inbreeding (I think my roo might be my ladies' brother).

Thank you Tao for your reply. I think I am also having difficulties because these are my first chickens since late childhood and these ones are mine. I feel responsible for them...

My duck eggs are starting to pip!...I checked them quickly and 2 of them are piping at the wrong end. There are some others that are piping at the right end.

Has anyone had eggs pip at the wrong end and had the eggs hatch successfully?...or am I going to have to help them if they are still alive?

I had three pip the wrong end. Two failed to hatch. I helped the third but it died the next day.
I had one with a badly positioned air sac and it pipped in the 'wrong' end but on the side that had the air sac and hatched fine.

In addition I want to note that I've only hatched once. Not an expert, and not with duck eggs. I read a lot and it seems plausible that the ducks could hatch fine.

I hatch a batch and need to look for homes for my roos. They are only 6 weeks now...but very cool breeds. I can keep him/them until they get bigger. I have a beautiful Heritage Dominique...maybe a nacked neck...a barred cochin.... still waiting to see if the others are roos or hens. Most like a Barred Olive Egger as well. This waiting thing stinks! Let me know.

In Chickens it does happen and usually successfully. I think it all has to do with the incubator and humidity levels/temp. Let me know how it all turns out. Nature is amazing!
