I'm now officially up to three orders of poultry this year, lol. I ordered some bantams from Ideal and some surprise special pullets for fun. As long as I don't get a ton of buff orps (got enough of those already) I'll be happy. They'll be coming in next week. Then I'll be waiting until April and May for my Sandhill orders and hopefully I can keep myself from picking anything up at Tractor Supply.

Beautiful. What do you charge for chicks?

$5 for lack of or too many toes, pink skin, and other faults. $10 for the more correct chicks. I do not list mine as show quality because I don't show and I have a partridge roo out in one pen with all colors.

Hey guys what's your opinion on if a mama hen will adopt more newly hatched chicks after hers are already a week old?

Personally, I would be doubtful, but you can try a couple and see how she reacts. The other chicks might peck at them tho'....

Yeah, mine said they weren't getting any in until the 6th (yes, I asked ) but they are already getting shipments. But since it's usually nothing exciting, almost always just sex links and leghorns aside from the bantams, and I'm already getting my bantam fix, I'm hoping I can resist temptation
