NY chicken lover!!!!

I do have two Del/Buckwheat cross frizzles. Perhaps a new one since one frizzle hatched one egg. Frenchy has two chicks but I'm not sure who laid the small egg. Out of about 8 only one chick hatched. She's an amazing hen, nearly ten years old. Buckwheat too has two chicks. EE/Del crosses I think. Anyhow my plan is to stick the Silkies roo with the Frzzles for Sizzles. I do wear tin foil when working with my silkies.

Everyone else. I have some BO pullets posted to CL and am open to offers if anyone here is interested in them.

anyone here go hatching eggs? What kind? I have hens still sitting. I could use black marans. Just about a half dozen would be nice.

Gosh if you weren't over two hours away, I would take them. Beautiful birds. I have silkies but I have some egg later breeds and just got my first frizzle. Love them.

How's she doing? Hope they've settled in well! I've got more growing out myself here. I can't keep the female frizzles, though, since I wouldn't want a frizzle to frizzle mating to occur.

Sorry Rancher, no hatching eggs here. What are BO pullets, Buff Orpingtons? I'm wondering if I have the guts to try again with my 'lets just add a few young pullets to the mini flock' plan. It was a difficult few months getting a beautiful Easter Egger pullet that turned out to be a roo. Then being given a replacement Ameracauna who got very sick with breathing issues, then went off her legs and died - probably mycoplasma. Thankfully none of my adult birds ever showed symptoms. Quarantine pen has been empty for a month - believe guidelines are it may be able to live in the ground for up to 2 months, so I'd have to put a pair of new chicks in a different pen. Think Buff Orpingtons would be a bit big for our small coop though, and was looking forward to some colored eggs from the Easter Egger....... still trying to decide whether to just wait until next year, or go for it now, so I have chance to grow younger pullets, and have them integrated into the main coop by winter....

From 3 older adult birds, we are getting a total of 5-6 eggs a week, which isn't really enough, and that's what started this whole plan back in May!

How old are they? From what I can see, it looks like they might have single combs, which would make things easier.
They do ..They are chicken stock Babies - Frizzles are 3 months one who isnt frizzled is teenie tiny .im wondering if she has a birth defect ...seems normal other wise she just hasnt grown much ..She is about 1/2 the size of the other 2 ..I call her itty bitty ..I will see if I can get a pic of them all .
