Today another 3-6, ugh! This is our first time with chickens, they aren't too thrilled about the snow but are getting used to it. All 12 are laying which is fantastic! We got them a heated water bowl, they seem to be adjusting to the cold fairly well.No Fall....this year we went straight into WINTER and I have onlyWhere is fall ? Go away snow the chickens dont want it either ..This was the first day we had it ..I still havent got leaves gathered ..too wet ...I grabbed some wet leaves today and put in the coop ..they were so wet ..I put a fan in there that didnt work ..so I now have a heat lamp in their to dry it out some ..Im going out to turn it off now ..

I feel for you - I'm getting 1 egg every other day.No Fall....this year we went straight into WINTER and I have only
one Rhode Island Red laying...my other four mixed breed Chickens ARE NOT laying. DARN.
I usually hatch a few chicks each year to keep us through winter, but this year I said we had enough chickens...
stupid me!
