NY chicken lover!!!!

Hi everyone - hope you all had a good Thanksgiving :)
Does anyone need a young rooster? He is a Welsummer/RIR cross, 6 months old. He's good with people, loves to have his wattles stroked, tolerates being picked up and is very chatty.
His Dad finally chased him out of the coop and the head hen picks on him too. He is a bit too 'hormonal' for my old ladies here, so if anyone needs a randy rooster - here he is

No cull please - I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance to get him a new home. :)

We've had snow for a couple weeks now. :( Today another 3-6, ugh! This is our first time with chickens, they aren't too thrilled about the snow but are getting used to it. All 12 are laying which is fantastic! We got them a heated water bowl, they seem to be adjusting to the cold fairly well.

I feel for you - I'm getting 1 egg every other day. :( I usually hatch a few chicks each year to keep us through winter, but this year I said we had enough chickens...:he stupid me!

We have had snow non stop. It doesn't help we live on a mountain top. Today we got 7 eggs out of 10 chickens, but my two exchequer leghorns stopped laying a month ago. Mine won't come out of the coop at all, but my coop is a shed so they have plenty of room to play. Except my one hen who has learned to come through the cat door and comes in everyday to lay her egg. My ducks are the only ones who don't seem to mind the snow.
