I went to GVCM last october, but it was late in the day and all the poultry were packing up and leaving. My friends drive horses there. This year we will have to get there early to check out the poultry. Seemed pretty small, but I have only been to the state fair and that was pretty big.
The State Fair does seem huge! The pictures I have seen of the pervious years at Mumford look nice though, I am really going to try to go. Things have pretty much slowed down on the farm by then, so I don't think it will be a problem.
I just noticed you have a lab beagle mix, we do also. She was my foster dog for a local rescue group I volunteer for, but we feel in love with her...She is a complete failure as a lab and a beagle
She hangs out with the chickens all day, I think she thinks she may be one, but it works out perfectly, she is a little protective of them...
love my beaglador, she too, is no good at being a beagle or a lab. She has the laziness of both breeds though.
We will have to have a meet up in mumford. Be sure to enjoy the draft horses owned by my friends family (and they usually bring a beefalo too). Heck, we could even have a picnic at my house afterwards too, I live only a few miles from there.
good to hear from you Amy (taj), glad to know you survived your maine trip!
