Notice the package says "No slaughter or milk Withdrawl" based on that I figure the eggs are fine to eat. What's more I only do them twice a year, three at the most. I suspect you can even use less than the 1cc for LF and less for the bantams.

Now get this.

I saw an article on the TV about heart worm in dogs. Well guess what they showed being used for preventative treatment? That's right Ivomectin. So I figure if you can get it at home why not treat your own dogs once a year like the Vets do. AND your dogs will be safe to eat.

Well gotta go annoy other people on BYC, ta, ta,

Now there's some good news for some of the asian culture that eat dogs.

Where do you get it?

cass 1 cc for large fowl....is this what you used? I use ivermectin to "worm"the horses...it is one of the safer wormers.

Anyone Should I bath the more effected chickns? I did do that before. Or will one application do it. I had replaced the bedding....should I do it again? I have insulated with cardboard. Should I pull it out? Will the cold kill some of them? AAAUUGGHH! Do you think that Santa can take them away istead of leaving somethong? thanks guys!

Yes, that's what I used. Half that on the Banties. I am seriously considering doing my outdoor cat. She is soooo skinny and eats like a horse. I would start with the bantie dose on her tho, just in case. But Rancher said to use it on dogs, sooo....it's worth a shot. (Worming at the vet cost me 50 bucks last time)

Personally I wouldn't bathe them in this weather....I do think that all the louses (is that a word) will crawl back on the birds and eat their blood and die. I would replace the bedding in the nest boxes again and dust the boxes with Sevin or DE.

I bought mine at Tractor Supply....it wasn't cheap....do you have anyone near you that might want to split the cost with you, cuz you will NEVER use the whole bottle on just chickens. (If you have other animals you might use it before it expires)

Trucker chick lays Godzilla egg!!! Oh!!! NO!!! Is it the end of the world!!

*all the upstate NY BYC posters point to the giant egg looming on the skyline, yell something incomprehensible in badly dubbed English that has been translated via Babelfish to Japanese, then French, then Cantonese, then Spanish, and then back to English, and run screaming*

Poor TC. What did you feed that girl?

Purina Flock Raiser - evidently I got the Monster Egg formula. She was sucking down oyster shell calcium the other day. Now I see why - she was making this!

Two eggs cracked from the cold tonight. Eggs are so weird when they are frozen. Brrrrrr.

Ivermectin is what I use for deworming too.

Poor Trucker Chick - that had to hurt. OOOOch!

I think I'll have some hot tea now with Itsy.

Rancher: How are your new chicks? Can we see pics of them?

Looking forward to the new chicken book.
