The hidey-hole nest was as advertised - a nice, big duck nest with several Leghorn eggs in there for good measure. There had to be thirty eggs in total. Some of those things were definitely rotten. When I was placing them in a bag (very, very carefully), the bad egg funk became painfully evident. It was a pile of eggs with some hidden stink bombs waiting to happen.
They're now in the trash, which, mercifully, is scheduled for pickup tomorrow. We'd have to nuke the bin from orbit were those monsters to break in there.
