~Oblivion~ {A Fantasy RP}

Xyla calmed at his touch, moving closer. With a sigh she breathed out as the truth of his statement hit her. She began, before pausing as she looked to him in wonder as he placed a rose around her ear, finishing once he was done, "I love you." With a quick movement, she stood on her toes to kiss him on the cheek. She pressed against him, whispering "Promise I'll see you again."
He blinked in surprise as she pecked his cheek. It looked like he did something right. For a change. Blushing, he grinned. "I love you, too." He breathed.

"Hurry up! " Flounder growled.

One last glance at Xyla, he rolled his eyes, "Can't catch a break, can we?" He said as he moved towards his backpack and started shoveling it's contents back inside. He slung it over his wings, then latched the straps together across his chest. "I'll write you and give you the location as soon as I can." He strode back to her and gave her a goodbye kiss atop her head. He still wasn't sure how the heck she spelled her name, but he wasn't about to ask. Instead, he checked his belt to make sure he still had the box, then hurried back to the door. "Promise." He nodded.

Xyla blushed at his declaration of love for her, before following him to the door, beating him to it. She held him close, whispering "It's spelled x-y-l-a, just so you know." with a small smile on her face, kissing him on the lips softly, looking away with a fake shame, then opening the door to exit and return home.

Harrison gazed back at Iris. He wasn't sure exactly what happened. After the years of solitary mechanic living, all of his walls had been broken with a glance at this hurting woman. His train of thought was interrupted as their soup was delivered. "Oh, um, thank you." He ignored the strange look he was getting for the server, who had been working there long enough to know he never sat with anyone.

Iris looked at the waiter, receiving her soup with a small smile that could be described as blank. But there was some beauty in her small smile, to be able to communicate joy in her depressing life. She looked up to Harrison, before asking "So...what do you do?"
