Just got the confirmation that my first lot of eggs has been posted!!!
they should arrive on Thursday, with, (hopefully) no broken eggs/minimum damages. Wish me luck!

One of initially four chicks hatched yesterday under one of my broody silkies. I've discarded two quitters and I'm hoping the last one hatches. It seems like it has internally pipped over a day now but no progress. I'll probably have to keep mom with baby for a week until my incubator eggs hatch. Without further adieu, pictures!!!

Sorry it didn't develop but glad you took it out, no one wants a rotten egg.

7 days and counting here, broody is as fierce as ever, puffs up huge like a turkey, flogged a flock mate and is barely off the nest- just enough for a few bites of food, a slurp of water and a 30 sec bath

Hope they all arrive safely and you have an awesome hatch! Are they all silkies?

Oh I'm so sorry...I hadn't ever had the courage to open one before. That had to be hard!

They are adorable!!! Congratulations!
Is the surface of that a little slick? You might want to lay down paper towels to protect their legs from splay leg.

Thanks, yeah they’re all silkies. Should be mostly bearded, too.
