A lot of people like that. People here were fascinated that egg shells are different colors. A lady once offered me $5 for a dozen multi colored eggs. Crazy.
I noticed people were excited over multiple colors. Although people buying Chickens and Chicks will get enthusiastic over a hen that lays chocolate eggs most of the egg customers are just as happy with tan eggs than dark brown. Anything but white because they associate store eggs with white eggs. However most people know that my white eggs are not going to be like store white eggs.

My son thought that our chicken's eggs were rotten because they were green :lau

My mom is someone who eats all organic blah blah blah from the grocery store, she has never tried my eggs. Whenever I offer some, she says no. some people are so used to the grocery store food, that's what I'm trying to get away from.

I'm doing meat birds so we don't have to go grocery shopping, it's so nice to just go outside and get fresh eggs instead of wondering how long the eggs have been sitting in the fridge at the grocery store.

there are so many people that are dependent on grocery stores and it always makes me wonder what would happen if the grocery stores weren't available :idunno

When I took a picture of my barred rocks eggs, my friends thought that I dyed them because they're pastel pink. I just love that every single chicken has their own distinct color.

@ChickChic00 here it is...

Hey everyone can you answer this please

"Alright, so I didn't know I was supposed to remove a layer in my incubator and I think the eggs arent getting enough moisture being on second layer. Is it ok to take them out really quickly and gently to remove second tray and put them on first one? This will be day 21 for 2 and 20 for 3 more in incubator. Thank you!!"

I would do it if I thought it was necessary.

Humidity is only at 58%. I would like it at 65. They haven't made a hole in the shell yet I dont think. I just dont think the humidity is high enough for them to break the shell. Also our shells are pretty hard. You could drop an egg and it would crack, but not break in half. Just worried. This is my second hatching.

Are you hatching in a cabinet?
