I'm curious to see your results. Mine are mixes, not full JG so you may fare a little better. Regardless, these girls are definitely big enough to feed 2 people for several meals.
I've been writing everything in a journal so I can reference back for anyone who wants to know. My chicks are a mix of Delaware/RSL and my two BJG roosters. I'm curious to see what they'll look like. I'm keeping only 1 out of the 30 for a layer. I'm planning on picking up some EE eggs from a local farm and adding 2 in the spring as layers. Get my boys some new pretty ladies.

View attachment 1940382 welcome to the world Flatty . The kids call him Flatty:lol: I think it's because they pretended that a cross hen almost crushed him. He's red jungle fowl of the clutch that was abandoned.[/
YAYYY! Im so glad you took my advice and put the eggs in the bator instead of waitin to see if momma hen would go back!!! :celebrate

We are working on chickens tractors for the chicks that are going to hatch, it's materials from all around the house, they're going to look so awesome when I'm done. Also making a quail cage that will sit on the ground and can be moved
What's a chicken tractor? My quail cages are bottomless and I move them around the garden. I have plastic cage hats as well as it gets to 10C now at night and it will get colder as the winter approaches.

I have 2 pips! Very early, I was expecting them tomorrow evening, so more than 24 hours earlier... The problem is that I am hatching chicken in this incubator for the first time and its lid is not transparent so I have to open it if I want to see what's happening inside.

Same concept as a tractor.
