[I Like Turkeys]

I did a size test with my adult cochin bantams and the biggest chick of the clutch today, and he managed to be taller than the hens and about the height of the male. Much leaner than them though. I’m going to be setting them up in a cage beside the bantam run, so that they can start to see each other. Maybe in a month, or a little less if their current cage gets too crowded, i’ll move them in together.

Also, I have 11 chicks to the 5 adult bantams in that run/coop. Hopefully the amount of babies overwhelms them and integration will go easier because of that.

I’ll update with photos when I move the cage next to the run.

Thank you! I feel most happy about the roosts. It gives the chicks some stimulation during the day, and they use them a lot, plus it's a wing workout and roosting practice. Really glad I put that in.

A few photos of the Silkie grow outs. Out of their tractor for the first time in a few days due to a big storm that just passed through.
They are all developing their crests and beards. Other than Paloma (porcelain) and Marigold (buff), still have not decided which ones are keepers.
The two boys, Loki and Hiro, still need some growing to do before deciding.
